Mekka is working hard to live up to The Daily News's claim that he is "bringing" change to rap. After receiving his JD from the prestigious New York University Law school, passing the New York Bar, and working at a top law firm, Mekka Don found himself unfulfilled, and wanting to make a greater impact than . As he says in one of his songs, " If i stayed up in the office, you probably wouldn't see me. I patrol the neighborhoods because I know the people need me. He abruptly quit his cushy 6 figure job and decided to pursue his true passion Hip Hop, because he felt it gave him a unique opportunity to create a new lane of music for young, "legal" hustlers. Mekka Don hopes to make music that is both fun and insightful. He ventures deep into the contemplative and insightful side with this track They All Come Down.
